Transfers From Santo Domingo Las Americas (SDQ) Airport
There is no public transport from Santo Domingo airport, the only way to leave the airport is by taxi.
We strongly recommend that you book an airport pick-up through our service. Remember the Dominican Republic
is a third-world country and you'll have just got off a long flight. Our service is much safer than using an airport taxi, the drivers speak English and they know exactly where the hotel is located (there are a lot of one-way streets and even taxi drivers get lost).
What's more, it's cheaper. The cost is US$40 (in total, not per person) one way for the car and up to three
passengers. If you have four passengers, or if you are arriving after midnight and before 6 a.m., the cost is US$50.
To book your transfer, simply fill in the form below and we will email you a confirmation.
The driver will be waiting in the arrivals area of the airport with a sign with your name on it, and you pay the
driver in cash using either US Dollars or Dominican Pesos.
Transfers From Punta Cana airport
There is a bus to Punta Cana Airport from Santo Domingo, but the bus is not
allowed to pick anyone up at the airport. So if you are arriving, the only way off the airport is by taxi.
There are two options to get from Punta Cana airport to Casa Sánchez.
Option One: Direct Taxi
The easiest and safest way is to book a taxi to pick you up and bring you directly to the hotel.
The cost is US$180 one-way for the car and up to four passengers, this includes tolls (there are many tolls
and the driver obviously has to pay in both directions). Transfer time three hours approx. To book, simply
fill in the form below. We will confirm by e-mail. The English-speaking driver will be
waiting with a sign with your name on it in the arrivals area.
Option Two:Taxi and Public Bus
You would need to take a taxi from the airport to the express bus stop. Then get the express bus to Santo Domingo,
then another taxi from the bus station in Santo Domingo to the hotel. It's quite complicated, and you would need to
arrive by about 3 p.m. at the latest to Punta Cana to do this. Use the excellent DR1
English-speaking expat forum for more information.
